The new and improved Dean & Deluca Wine Room has much to offer for a girls night out, date night or other fun gathering.  After extensive renovations the wine room is now located just off the Dean & Deluca market area.  Wander through the market so see and smell all of the wonderful offerings they have and then head in to grab your seat to enjoy a nice, un-hurried evening.

We decided to go to have a nice glass of wine and a quick bite before attending Wicked at Ovens Auditorium.  Located in the Southpark area in the Phillips Place shopping center, the newly renovated wine room offers a bright, open seating area with a combination of bar seating, high top seating and low community tables.  Saturday late afternoon/early evening was bustling with groups of people enjoying a leisurely late afternoon.

We started out with a nice wine flight consisting of 3, 2 ounce servings of the selected grouping.  The Agree to A Gris was amazing featuring wines from Swanson, Claiborne & Churchill and Alexana.  Our server was very friendly and knowledgable about the wines he served us even giving us information about the vineyards, producers and the best order in which to taste our flight.  The flight gave you a nice tasting of each of the wines and allowed us to select a glass of our favorite, the Swanson for a full glass to enjoy (in either a 5 ounce or 8 ounce serving).

The wines we chose paired nicely with the crab stuffed mushroom caps and the goat cheese bruschetta.  The wine room has nice offerings of small bites that you can pair together for a nice light but substantial dinner as well as full dinner entrees.  Everything was delicious.  To finish it off the bourbon pecan tart was to die for!  Definitely worth passing up the chocolate for that decadent dessert.

Definitely a different experience that a restaurant, and one I highly recommend.  Check them out!
